I will admit, for a woman who owns a gift shop, gift giving is not my love language. I'm a big acts of service girly. I have friends who are incredible gift givers and never let a moment pass without a tasteful, considered, and incredibly personal objet. I am often running straight from an event or the bar or have just gotten off a plane and have forgotten your prezzie at home, but I'm happy to throw your birthday party with no notice or reorganize your closet or take care of your kids so you can relax.

That being said, gift curation is in my wheelhouse.  Every year, fall ushers in an abundance of great moments for gifting, hosting, and getting together, no occasion necessary. It's my favorite time to buy for--I focus on hand-picking new vendors, new products, new trends I'm excited to share with you and my own family and friends. I can't promise that I will actually wrap it and send it to my loved ones on time, but know I had you all in mind.

This week I'm sharing some of our favorite new finds for fall, coming soon (or perhaps already here!).

Embroidered Linens

Maybe it's because Ina Garten's new book is about to launch, but I'm feeling inspired by a casual fall Hamptons lunch. Peak October harvest, dining outside in sweaters, soup with Jeffrey, these hand-embroidered and cheeky linens from English brand Pintail? It's a vibe. I love the quality of the linen and the embroidery is just enough of a wink to liven up your table.

Local Candles

I love an unexpected scent profile in a candle and these stunning candles from Brooklyn tea atelier Bellocq are all inspired by their luxury line of teas. Hand-poured into these keepsake brass vessels, their spare and elegant profile is such a beautiful design object on top of smelling divine. I'm particularly romanced by the Majorelle Mint for fall. It's rare that I hang onto a box, but this color is swoony enough that I'm keeping it because #pretty.

Brass Cocktail Pics

These amazing brass sword cocktail pics from Shelton Metal. I love the cheeky nod to the plastic bar accoutrement, done in this hand carved and cast brass. Really a great addition to the bar. We’re going to have them in stock in store in October and Colby, the designer, is just a wonderful jewelry designer and metalsmith. An all around treasure whose work we’re excited to carry. We’re gonna have crazy stuff from him too like these cool espresso spoons and little shell dish. Also, a truly great price for brass. Love them.

Hand-painted ceramics

I’m really into mixing in a few novelty and hand-painted dishes into my more classic and vintage tabletop this season. It makes it feel refreshed without buying a whole new service. We’re bringing in some wonderful ceramicists—Harlie Brown from the UK, Laetitia Rouget from Portugal, and the very buzzy Caitlin Rounds Antiques from Texas. I love these hand-built and hand-painted plates from Harlie.

 Novelty Matches

I love to collect great matches, and we have everything from oversized fireplace matches to cheeky illustrated matchbooks. I'm particularly excited about these new house matches as a host gift. I like the idea of a generous bowl of them in my powder room for my sticky fingered friends to pilfer through.

Keepsake Cake Toppers

We've seen the evolution of candles and cake topppers really explode in creativity in the last few years. From balloons to blooms, there's something for every type of celebration. This fall, I'm the most excited about these sweet ceramic animals. Strong alone or as a little menagerie, they're beautiful enough for a gift or to hoard for your own enjoyment year after year. The hippo is a particular favorite-- chompy Moo Deng energy is what I bring to all cake anyway.
